From Tears, Joy: Exploring Tisha B'Av

Rebecca Minkus-Lieberman

August 8| 10-11am | $20 Register Here

Mallinckrodt Community Center | 1041 Ridge Rd Wilmette, IL 60091

How do we turn towards experiences of destruction and loss in our tradition and move through them with meaning? Join us for a class to prepare for and explore the complex nature of the fast day of Tisha B'Av, a day in our Jewish calendar that marks the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem and many other historical encounters with pain and suffering. We will study some heart-opening texts on Tisha B'Av and explore how acknowledgement of grief might open us to a deeper encounter with joy and connection.
