Presence and Protection: Opening to the Intimacy of Sukkot

  • Elawa Farm Foundation 1401 Middlefork Drive Lake Forest, IL, 60045 United States (map)

The holiday of Sukkot - the Jewish festival of the harvest - asks us to open ourselves to its many gifts. The gift of feeling the Divine embrace. The gift of welcoming the presence of departed loved ones. The gift of stepping out into the natural world and attuning our senses to the change of seasons. The gift of noticing what we harvest, what forms of abundance nourish us. On this special day retreat, we will celebrate Sukkot together at the beautiful Elawa Farm - a working farm that will be in the midst of its harvest season. We will spend the day studying texts, sharing conversation, enjoying mindful, reflective time among the gardens and savanna, singing, practicing yoga, and partaking in a farm-to-table vegetarian lunch. Join us to explore all of the special gifts of this beautiful festival.

Retreat facilitated by Rebecca MInkus-Lieberman and Jane Shapiro, with a special yoga practice led by Rachel Coppola

Open to all, all genders, all ages, all backgrounds.
